100 Year Anniversary Album
The Pseloretes Fraternity of Detroit and Cretan Ladies Society are celebrating milestone anniversaries this year. Pseloretes 100 and Cretan Ladies 90, We would like to include your family history among the Cretans families who were members and currently are members who helped us reach this point. This will be a historical archive of the history of the Cretan chapters of Detroit it is important that you participate.
GUIDELINES
These are the specs and requirements we need for each page.
- 600 words and up to 4 photos depending on size
- 400 words and up to 5 photos depending on size
- One oldest photo, family photo(s) and currently photo if possible
- ALL photos must be scanned at at least 300 DPI resolution and be JPG or PNG files. If you need help with this, please contact us.
No Facebook photos are acceptable for printing.
Photos from IPhones of photos work if they are taken properly, i.e. from above straight down over the photo with no glare and distortion and edges squared and not angled. Please assist those who need help with photos. If you can't, call Rousso or I. (You should all have our numbers).
All photo sizes will be adjusted according to layout.
All text will be edited if needed for grammar and space. No content will be eliminated.
(for example if the sentence is too wordy, we might condense as needed.)
If any significant changes need to be made, we will send you a copy for a final ok.
Please include a mandinada for each page. lf you don't have one, we will provide.
There is a chance the family history pages will all be B/W. Photos submitted can be B/W or color, BUT color photos may be converted to B/W.
Because this book will hopefully be referenced and/or read for generations to come, if the text given is Greek and some people will prefer Greek, I recommend at least a summary be provided in English.
Price per page will be $100 for the family histories.
If you really don’t want to put your family history but would like to support the project, you may place a congratulatory page for $100, as well as a business page for $150.00.
Please submit your text and photos to Roussos Hourdakis

About Us
For over 90 years, our organization has provided its members with a place to call home and feel welcome, while educating the youth on the Cretan heritage by offering Greek School, Dance Lessons, cooking courses and Cretan youth activities. Created to give Cretan immigrants a place where they would always be welcome, today’s members continue that tradition and hope to pass it along for generations to come, as the founding fathers did for us. The chapter was established in 1923 and it was incorporated in 1932.
